We are recruiting volunteers!

Tewkesbury Town Colts FC is run wholly on volunteers, from our chairman to the mangers of our 25 teams.

The roles we are looking for are:

- Club Welfare Officer (female)

- Soccer School Lead

At present we are looking for a female to fulfil this role.

The club welfare officer is a vital role within the club. It ensures the club is following all safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all players. You will also ensure the all coaches have the correct safeguarding qualifications and a Criminal Records Check.

i) Ensuring these responsibilities are well understood by others.

ii) Developing best practice processes.

iii) Helping league and club personnel understand their ‘duty of care’ towards children and young people.

iV) Ensuring all relevant people complete The FA’s ‘Safeguarding Children’ training programme.

V) Helping to make sure trips away are organised properly.

Vi) Managing the rollout of FA CRC checks.

How do I become a Welfare Officer? That's simple, get in touch with us and we will arrange for you to meet with someone from the committee for you to discuss it further. We will then help you to: Apply for an Enhanced CRB Disclosure via The FA CRB Unit, attend The FA's Safeguarding Children Workshop and attend The FA's Welfare Officers Workshop, all training funding will be provided by the club.

After 21 years of faithful service to the club, Chris Martin who is our Soccer School manager is stepping down June 2020. Naturally, the Soccer School is the steppingstone for younger children to get involved with the Club and if this is not in place for the start beginning season 20/21 then the Club will struggle to generate new teams.

i) To carry out risk assessments and report any incidents/accidents to the Chairman Tewkesbury Town Colts FC.

ii) To follow the Clubs child protection guidelines.

iii) To take payment for activities as appropriate and deliver back to the Clubs accountant with records to back up any payments made.

iV) To ensure the Club’s Codes of Conduct are adhered to.

V) To keep up to date registers for all activities.

Vi)To attend training courses continuing with professional development as required.

Vii) Responsible for the formation of U8 teams and their development whilst at the Coaching Centre.

If you or someone you know is interested in the role, please get in touch with us.
